Honus Wagner and Lou Gehrig had a lot in common, besides both being Hall of Famers. First, they are both regarded by many as being the best ever at their respective positions. Second, they were both quiet and modest individuals who preferred to avoid the trappings of fame. Third, both were highly respected and well liked by fans and teammates as much for they way they carried themselves as for their diamond skills. Fourth, their star power remains as bright even though they played a century of more ago.
